Agility Robotics was incubated in 2015 out of Oregon State University's Dynamic Robotics Laboratory (DRL); co-founder Damion Shelton serves as CEO and robotics professor Jonathan Hurst as CTO, with long depth in leg dynamics and bipedal locomotion: the bipedal platform Cassie launched in 2017, and Digit, aimed at logistics handling, in 2019.
