Inspire Robots (Beijing Inspire Robots Technology Co., Ltd.) was founded in May 2016, headquartered in Shijingshan, Beijing — a national 'Little Giant' enterprise specializing in micro precision motion actuators and dexterous manipulation end-effectors. Founder/CEO Cai Yingpeng comes from Beihang University's Robotics Research Institute with over ten years of robotics research and practice (he founded Beijing Yingshipai Robotics in 2012); co-founder Chen Xi is an expert in hydraulic system product development and production management. Core products are the humanoid five-finger dexterous hand and the micro servo electric cylinder, plus servo electric grippers: in 2020 it launched China's first commercially mass-produced dexterous hand, with linkage drive as the main route (strong deployability, high reliability, suited to mass production) while simultaneously building the tendon (rope-driven) and direct-drive routes, forming a product matrix across high, mid and low DoF that serves both the volume-production needs of embodied body companies and forward-looking research. Products are applied in humanoid robots, medical care, 3C manufacturing, new energy, semiconductors and research education, with over 700 cumulative customers covering China's mainstream humanoid OEMs and over 60 domestic and foreign IP rights; in 2025 it became the world's first dexterous hand maker with annual shipments above 10,000 units. Funding: a nearly-RMB 100M Series B3 in 2025; in February 2026 it completed the C1 and C2 rounds totaling hundreds of millions RMB, with state-team and industrial capital including China Mobile's Chain Leader Fund adding on — called the 'all-star lineup' of the dexterous hand track.
