About

Leju Robotics was founded in Shenzhen in 2016 by Leng Xiaokun and other Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) alumni. It is a national-level specialized and sophisticated 'Little Giant' enterprise and the maker of Kuafu (KUAVO), China's first open-source OpenHarmony humanoid robot, building a full-stack system spanning brain, cerebellum, operating system and body. Its products evolved from the education-scenario AELOS and ROBAN to the 41-DOF Kuafu with over 90% domestic components, and the dual-form KUAVO 5. In 2025 it delivered several thousand full-size humanoids cumulatively; in March 2026, together with Dongfang Precision, it put China's first 10,000-unit-class automated humanoid production line into service. It won China's first public humanoid robot tender in the automotive industry and achieved 8 hours of continuous operation at a FAW Hongqi plant. In October 2025 it closed a near RMB 1.5B Pre-IPO round (about RMB 9B valuation); IPO tutoring acceptance was completed in April 2026 and a ChiNext listing application was filed in August.

Technical Approach

Builds a full-stack system spanning brain, cerebellum, operating system and body, covering AI decision-making, motion control, the open-source OpenHarmony OS and the robot body. On data: involved in 9 training grounds built or under construction, producing over 20 million real-machine data entries per year; its Beijing training ground covers over 10,000 square meters, the largest humanoid robot training ground in China.

Commercialization(4)

  • Mass production: several thousand full-size Kuafu humanoids delivered cumulatively in 2025; on Mar 30, 2026, China's first 10,000-unit-class automated humanoid production line, built jointly with Dongfang Precision, entered service (one unit off the line every 30 minutes, 24 digitized processes, 50%+ efficiency gain); on Apr 12, 2026, the Shenzhen Longgang pilot production line opened (annual capacity 500-1,000 units)
  • Industrial applications: won China's first public humanoid robot tender in the automotive industry, with multi-robot deployment and 8 hours of highly stable continuous operation at a FAW Hongqi plant; with the Beijing Institute of General Artificial Intelligence and STEP Electric launched the world's first tray-picking embodied intelligence robot (over 99% operation success rate in SMT scenarios); with China Southern Power Grid and China Mobile built a 5G-A power-grid inspection demonstration, improving inspection efficiency by 84%
  • Application scenarios: batch deliveries across research and education, commercial services and industrial manufacturing; market expansion focuses on real scenarios such as exhibition tours, group reception, patrol and inspection, and pallet-breaking/transport
  • Major appearances: Kuafu served as the world's first 5G-A humanoid robot torchbearer (No. 0) at the 15th National Games; appeared at the torch relay of the Asian Winter Games at -20°C; cheered athletes at the Table Tennis Asia Cup in Shenzhen

Position & Strengths(5)

  • Pace-setter in humanoid industrialization: ranked among the top of the 2026 H1 top-5 humanoid companies (Chinese vendors swept the top five)
  • National-level specialized 'Little Giant'; HIT-rooted technical heritage; China's first open-source OpenHarmony humanoid vendor
  • Deep industrial ecosystem ties: building a 'humanoid robot +' ecosystem with over 100 companies including Huawei, Tencent, Alibaba Cloud, China Mobile, China Telecom, Honor, FAW, Schaeffler and Dongfang Precision
  • Schaeffler's first embodied intelligence partner in China (announced Mar 2026), covering industrial applications, data training grounds and new technology R&D
  • A complete manufacturing loop of Shenzhen R&D plus Foshan mass production in the Greater Bay Area, advancing toward IPO
